Current lab personnel

Heather Tyler (Postdoctoral research associate). Heather is a postdoc working on an NIH funded project to look at the immune enhancing bacterial endophytes associated with the medicinal plant, Echinacea purpurea.

Justin Millar (Masters student). For his Masters thesis, Justin is examining the bacterial biogeography of large rivers in the Mississippi River Basin as part of a broader NSF-funded research project. See lifeinthemississippi.org for more information.

Megan Overlander (Masters student). Megan is a student in the Department of Biology's USDA supported graduate training program in Forest Restoration Ecology.

Patrick Harris (Honors student). Patrick's honors thesis is an evaluation of sample preservation methods for soil extracellular enzyme activity.

Alexa Lampkin (Honors student). Alexa's honors thesis is examining patterns in phosphatase activity in large rivers of the Mississippi River Basin.

Buck Bateman (Honors student). Buck has just started working on his honors research looking at archaeal communities in the Mississippi River.

Stephen Stone (Honors student). Stephen has just started on his honors research examining the bacteria associated with herbal suuplements.
